No, the revolution wasn’t televised. But it was hugged, chanted, marched, and danced into existence. Our Dance of Revolution tells the story of how Black queer and trans folks in Toronto faced and continue to fight every adversity, from invisibility to police brutality, and over a four-decade span rose up to become a vibrant, triple-snap-fierce community.
SCREENINGS This FREE Southwest premiere screening will originate in Oakland California - a city energized and led by its own globally recognized history of Black LGBTQIA+ Revolutionaries. includes: a conversation led by Kin Folkz (Spectrum Queer Media: Queer Arts Center) and a Q+A led by Cooper Sealy (Three Dollar Bill Cinema) will feature the director, Phillip Pike, as well as key subjects of the documentary - Debbie Douglas and David Lewis-Peart.
